Anna Madison was born in Rio de Janeiro in the mid 80's; in a place that has marked her style, in an era that has marked her music. Having Brazilian, as well as Swedish roots, she walked her first steps to the samba beat, then moved to Stockholm at the age of 10 where she learned to play the guitar.
From being a dancer since she was practically a baby (jazz and ballet), Anna M shifted musical interests to playing instruments and composing; first compositions date to the age of 13. At first Anna M performed with nothing else but her guitar on improvised stages, pubs, on the street... but soon had the opportunity to engage in larger productions, including musicals, plays, dance shows, event hosting, etc. seeking the lime-light.
After living in Brazil, Sweden, and California, her home became (and still is) Paris. Anna M began singing with various groups, incl. the rock group formerly known as Reevox. She then started her long time collaboration with Frisco (headed by composer/actor Vincent Martinez) as their lead singer. The group launched Anna M with an album of 12 songs, and her first video of the track "Be A Man", introducing an pop/electro-funk style.
Anna M has since then composed songs with Sony music, and Emi (composer Vich), and she is now signed by the music publisher NTS Publishing. Her artist friends Meja and Soshy (produced by Timbaland) have influenced and pushed her on the way. Other groups that Anna M worked with are Astroboyz (Sony Atv), and Bustafunk (Universal Publishing); more recently Iccops and renowned DJ Laurent Schark. She has also lent her vocals and composing talents to French rap artist Sokrate, featuring the track "Out of Control/Hors Control."
Influences: Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Pink, U2, A-HA, Jamiroquai, Scissor Sisters, Bruce Springsteen... It's an eclectic mix.
